How to remove shift knob on WRX

How to remove shift **** on WRX

Just got my baby yesterday 04 WRX wagon. The first mod going to perform is the shift ****.. Did any one know how to remove the shift **** from the boot? Yes, I unscrew the ****, but then the **** is still attach to the boot. I really don't know how to detach it from the boot, also I don't want to break the boot. Anyone know how to detach it. Thanks.

the boot just pops off. just pull it. and then you unscrew the **** off the shifter

Car Info: 2004 San Remo Red WRX w/ Premimu package, Security package, and Short Throw shifter

being a fellow suba-newby, I replaced my stock **** on my 04 sedan a month or so ago. If you need any help, PM me.

I put on a Momo **** - but prolly the same for most brands.

I just pop the old **** out... and installed the Momo ****. It fit very nice, and even shorter than the stock ****. Thanks for all helps...:banana:
