How to Perform Trunk Swap?

How do you do the trunk swap? Do you just unbolt it from right under the trunk and trade? Or do you have to take the springs and everything with it? I know you have to change the lock cores... but im not sure how to do that as well... Are there any step-by-step instructions out there?

Trunk, locks, springs.. I had never done it before, and did the swap in less than 30 minutes... Springs are the hardest, you need a breaker bar...

a long hollow bar.

usually used to slip over the end of a wrench to get better leverage on a tough nut or bolt.

Bah...only a medium screwdriver and some sense for leverage. The stupid lock cylinder was harder than the springs.

it's easy...I'll help if you need it.

The lock cylinder is simple.

Take the panel on the trunk lid off. Unhook the rod that goes from the lock to the cylinder. Then there is a black metal brace-thing around the lock cylinder that has to slide out. Once that's done, the cylinder pulls right out.

I was **** and waxed under that spot while I had the cylinder off.
