I agree. With body repair and paint, you get what you pay for. I don't think there's anything that even passes for factory paint for less than $2000, and I hear of people paying much more than that for quality paint.

If you get quotes for other than the original color, be sure they take into account the door jambs and the underside of the trunk and hood.

oh, and macco has a even cheaper one, at like 199 they wash your car with ajac/comet and that washes it and sands it at the same time

A good paintjob will cost you $2k plus. It'll be less if you do the prep work. Like removing moulding, possibly sanding and priming, removing dents, etc, so that all they have is final prep and they can start painting.
