How to keep fender liners in after rolling?
So I've had a partial front roll for over a year now and have been sliding by with just that. I don't want to lose the fender liners but I need to do a full roll and maybe a little pull soon.
What options do I have for keep the fender liner in with the lip rolled away? And no, i'm not going to run with no liners.
TIA

when i rolled mine i also had the same problem. i tried to bend the tabs that help support the fenderliner back out but it was barely hanging on. ended up coming off as i drove on the freeway and tore in half. unless someone else has an idea but as of right now i know of no way of supporting the fender liner up

i only have half the fender liner in the front lol. just enough to where it covers the intake portion before the curve of the wheel well.other then that i hope no water gets into the intake even though im running a short ram

Hmmm, I see. RLLYRCR did something like that. He cut out the entire middle portion and left the side flaps that keep stuff from going into the bumper well areas. I also have a short ram, is there even a risk of it getting wet?n I know a cold air intake and no liner is pure suicide.

well you can purchase those cover pieces they use on the n'/a models that plug up the holes where the silencer goes. but i just put my hid ballast over the one closest to the filter lol.

The ideal way to keep the liner is to weld in tabs where the liner attaches. Although, then you will run into painting issues. Another way is to get some metal tabs and attach them ot the inside of the fender with permanent 2 side tape and attach the liner that way.

I know everyone thinks that stuff is the greatest invention but if it was great the autobody industry would use it all the time. They don't use at all. There are industry/commercial epoxies bit they are expensive ($60-90 a tube). The "permanent" tape sold at auto body supply stores is a better choice. It's used to hold on body parts permanently. JB weld will come off with the flexing that cars are subject to.
I do a lot of work fixing other peoples mistakes. Do it right at the beginning and you won't pay to have done again. Also, be sure to clean the area with acetone prior to using the tape

Ok, but quality and prep are everything. You don't want to be cruising at 80, or better yet 150 then have it come loose. That would not be a good situation.
