how do i remove the blank panel where the headunit goes?

exactly what the title says, in my 04 STi

how do i take it out, i've taken out the top vents and cupholder, but i can't seem to figure out how to pop it out,

i've tried prying it but it doesn't budge, i dont want to break it as i want to mount my EBC in it

any ideas,

thanks

you need to remove the whole DIN frame, because the plate is screwed in on the sides of it, kinda like how a harddrive is attatched in a computer. There are 6 screws for that tray, 4 is readily visible, 2 are deeper in to the center console.

^ What he said. To get to those 6 screws you have to take the trim surrounding the DIN area off. Its held on by 4 or 6 clips.

The vents can stay on.
