when i went with a front mount the turbo lag was pretty bad on the stock turbo (vf39)... well to me it felt pretty bad... i hated it...

yep there is alot more pipe to pressurize so it takes longer to spool

With the right kind of tuning and depending on who your tuner is, you can lessen your turbo lag, Ryan tuned my UTEC so i got faster boost response at a lower RPM. You can probably get your low end to be more aggressive also.

Ya when you think about it, it's a better design to have air flowing in the front and out the top, cuz u don't wanna be forcing hot air down with a top mount right? hot air rises, let it rise out the hood like the evo
