Daylight is 4300K. The higher you go beyond this, the more you are going into the UV section of the visible light spectrum, and the LESS light you put out that can be reflected back. Sure, they look pretty and purple, but you see MUCH less.

they are still brighter than stock by a lot

i have EDM and always notice the high cutoff on the right side of the road. with the cutoff switched to the other side and an HID kit, wouldn't you blind just about everyone?!?!?! i know you plan to adjust the beam pattern to lower it, but having seen the EDM pattern, you'd have to basically point it to the ground to not blind people. 
i thought about putting in an HID kit into my projectors, but i feel the stock EDM light output is enough to blind everyone to the right of the car!

think about it this way, at least you wont be blinding people on the other side of the road.
