Forget about DDM or any other aftermarket outfit when dealing with OEM HIDs. There is no good reason to replace the factory D2R bulbs with anything other than OEM-grade Philips or Osram in the stock 4300K color temperature. Anything higher will reduce visible light output and increase glare.
A set of OEM type 4300K D2R bulbs can be readily found online for around $60/pair (always replace them in a matched set for best color match between the bulbs). Don't go to the dealer, they will charge you way more than that for just one bulb.

Yeppers...just the bulbs.
what you buy depends on what you want to do with your car.
as someone else said, if you change to a higher temp light, you lose "visible" output...but that's your own choice.
i went with 5K lights and yes i do notice the loss in visibility...but if my driving situation calls for more light, i've got hi-beams and my driving lights (like fogs, but different) to fall back on. YMMV

Your '05 STi has D2R HID bulbs in the low beams only. High beams are standard halogen 9005.
And again, unless your original bulbs have failed there is no reason to replace them, and if they have failed they should only be replaced with OEM or equivalent 4300K D2R (NOT D2S). Any higher color temperature will not be an "upgrade" but rather the opposite, you will lose lighting performance.
