Exclamation HELP! STi Trim Problems! HELP!

Alright, I bought the kit off of rallyspec.com. I love the way it looks but my 2003 WRX shift boot retainer will not fit with the STi Trim on. Any of you guys that have them know what to do to make it fit. Or worst case scenario know what shift boot is the best that works with the trim plate ? Thank you in advance to any and all responses

Well this is what i did. After making the cuts into my console and taking off all the retainer clips, i found out that the shift boot was loose as well. What i did was i used an epoxy compound such as JB weld to "weld" the boot onto the console. I clap\mped the shfter trim and clips to the shift boot retainer clips together and let it dry over night. Now i cant pull it off if my life depended on it (which is what i wanted) Well, good luck if you decided to use my method or any other.

I had to glue the whole deal together with super glue. The whole thing was loose and I could not get the boot to fit properly.
