HELP...My Tach is Dead!

I just installed some reverse indiglo guage faces in my '02 WRX. Looks nice BUT...the tach needle is officially dead. NO I didn't pull it off. Moved it up so I could slip the face on. Moved it gentle but I could've possibly put a little upward force. Anyone know any ways to fix this?

I assume that I could uninstall and reinstall the needle etc...but I hear it's quite hard.

Should I just chuck my guage cluster and buy an '04 cluster?

EEK!

HELP HELP HELP...instructions needed unto surgery of my guage cluster!

Unfortunately you probably ruined the tach and as a result the whole cluster, since it's not a separately replaceable part. This is why whenever anyone asks about installing different gauge faces we warn them not to do it as more often than not the result is what happened to you.
Start looking for a new cluster, check the local junkyards as well as the online classifieds here and at NASIOC. Occasionally someone who has replaced theirs will be selling one in good shape.
