Headlight is out, and it's not the bulb!
So tonight, I was installing some plug and play HIDs into my '04. I installed the X-Tec 6000k ballast and bulb it didn't work. We tried different wiring configurations but after more than 2 hours, I called it quits. Since my headlight assembly was out, I proceeded to installing my second set of HIDs (Brightstar 10000k, I was orginally going to sell these). Seeing my trouble with the first one, I wired everything out of the housing and it worked. I got a nice bright color. So I hook everything back up into the housing and it DOESN'T WORK! I was so frustrated. I tried everything. I switched up the ballast, and the starter and tried every combination possible. I tried the other bulb. I checked the fuse. I reinstalled the stock bulbs and they were shining quite nicely. I tried a few more times with the HIDs and I gave up. After putting everything back in, the right headlight doesn't work. W. T. F. The left headlamp was lighting up fine, so I unplugged the left bulb and put it in my right headlamp to make sure it wasn't just the bulb. Surely enough, it wasn't the bulb. I am thinking that it is the wire on the twisty cap located on the back of the headlight assembly (the one that powers the light bulb). But right now I'm not sure. I don't want to bring it into the dealership yet because I'm scared they void my warranty since I had to drill holes in the back of my twisty caps for the HIDs. If anyone can help... that'll be great. THanks.
