headlight issue

So I have a 2007 impreza wrx...when you start the car, and put the ebrake down, the headlights automatically turn on. I now have an issue where only 1 light will turn on. in order to turn both of them on, I have to put the ebrake up, and manually turn on the lights from the switch. otherwise i would be driving around with only 1 headlight on. Anyone know what might be the problem, and how I can fix it?

Same here I too have a headlight problem, my driver side headlight is dim compared to my passenger side, even with high beam on. I researched about it and it could be ground problem(which is infamous for Subarus), but I haven't had the time to fix it. Basically you wanna upgrade your ground.you can solve that by finding a good ground and connecting a zero gauge wire from negative battery to the good ground.

oh and the headlight automatically turn when you release the e brake due to the DRL (Daytime Running Light) fuse.

i don't know about 07, but in 02, daytime running lights go though a relay, a resister, the security system if you have a factory one, and a control module.

Any idea where that relay and resistor is located on the car?
