Got a CF Hood, now how to install?

sorry I don't know your answer, but I have a question for you. Where did you get your hood from? Are we talking 02, and a hood with a sccop? Cause I just got one from Vivid Racing and it looks like it would fit on the car, but the LNR STi sized c.f. scoop I ordered won't go on it- and the scoop that came with the hood will even begin to fit on a stock hood. The scoop itself and the hole for the scoop are uncompatable with any other aftermarket or stock item. My question is are they all like this? Does your's fit like stock? It was about 500$. Also is the quality good? The one I got was very poor.
My expirence with aftermarket bodyparts is that they almost never line up perfectly. Whether it be motorcycle or car parts you almost always need to do some extra work to get them to look right. How big are the gaps around the scoop? You could try some black epoxy to fill the gaps. What i would do if they arent huge gaps is run down to home depot and pick up some black weatherstripping. You can cram it in those gaps and just epoxy it in or something. If you take your time I would think it should look clean.

Thanks for the replies- besides the fact that the hood I got didn't fit with the scoop they said would fit, I don't even want to put that hood on my car- there are irregularities in the weave and a big smear in the pattern the size of a dime right in the middle of the hood. I think it's hard to find a good c.f. hood right now. Especially if you want another c.f. scoop to fit on it. I decided I'll just put the high quality c.f. LNR hood scoop on my stock black hood rather than having some poor quality hood on for tha sake of carbon fiber. Let me know if anyone finds a good one. Can't afford a front mount and kaminari hood, oh well.
