Is there a reason why you want to install a boost gauge in your 2.5 RS? If you're not running a turbo you'll waste much of the sweep of the gauge dial as the boost part will never be used.

It would help to know the brand and model of the gauge. Some boost gauges only have two wires - a hot lead for the gauge lighting and a ground wire, usually black.

You could also do a search at ScoobyMods.com for 'boost gauge install', although if you're not a member you may not be able to view all of the pics that accompany the tutorials.

Im going to be installing a sti ver. 2 555 motor in my 2.5 rs the gauge is a glowshift the instructions show me black to ground red to a light sourse and the yellow looks like it goes to a fuse going directly to the battery im not sure if this is right thats what im trying to find out.

Subaru uses a constant voltage and variable ground to control the illumination, so you may not be able to connect it to the dash lighting. If the ground is shared between the gauge electronics and illumination you can't use the car's dash lighting circuit. It will be very helpful if you get a hold of the wiring manual for your car.
Also is that A/F gauge the type that taps into the rear 02, or does it have its own wideband sensor? If it's the tap-in type you may want to think twice as those are worthless for any meaningful readings.

Yellow is to battery, black is ground, and red is accessory(for when you turn the key, it switches it on), usually that is what they are for, standard on almost all accessories you install into a car
