is it possible to get rid of the hugh black plastic piece on my 02 rex?

ive seen pics of people without that part

i wanna get a front lip for my car but i dont want that piece on anymore

can someone please help me out

 

The black areas of the bumper are actually part of the bumper cover, it's all one piece. Those areas are just unpainted.

 

To remove the unpainted black area you will have to cut it off, and then file/sand the edges to clean up the cuts.
