Fog lights for a 96' Impreza
ANy idea where I can find a set? I want to add some to my car. It's an Outback Impreza.
I'm talking the whole kit. My car never had them..just the covers... Do I even have to purchase factory ones or cana third party's work?
thanks guys!

Your '96 would be the old bumper style. The factory fogs for those go in the cut outs in the bottom corners. The fogs are made to fit the opening so aren't round/square. If the blank plates aren't cut out you'll have to do that.
I don't know if they offer a kit or not. I DO know that individually those lights are insanely expensive!
You'll get a much better light for less money going aftermarket with Hella or Bosch. But...the problem then becomes mounting them. The bumper beam is recessed pretty far, and mounting them to the cover won't work as they will vibrate like crazy. What I was going to do was make some brackets from flat steel (available at the hardware store). Mount the brackets to the beam, the steel would come out towards the front of the car and mount the lights to that. You would have to take the bumper off the car to do this (not really that hard...4 bolts and the light sockets).
To do it right takes some effort. To do it easier costs more money or gives poor results.
