Facelift? 06
i was wondering if it was true that u can interchange body panels(mostly the front end) between 02-06s?
if thats true, i may be getting an 06 STi and putting the 04-05 STi front on it...
Wondering if it is true or not since i dont really care for the 06 front

Buying a used 05 would be a much better choice if you are dead set on the 05 front end. Have you seen the 06 in person? It may grow on you.

the thing is im about to leave for wyotech and wont be back until march 07. I was thinking by then it would be easier to find an 06-07 over a 04-05 thats modded(i dont want to buy a modded car from past experiences)
I want to buy something bone stock.

boosted, I wouldn't really worry about it too much then. Your chances of finding an un-modded 05 is just as likely as finding an un-modded 06 at that point. I do agree with buying a car that hasn't been modded before. Sooooo many people half-*** when they modify a car. I don't want to live with someone else's shortcuts.
BTW, in 07, the next generation impreza should be out. I'm def. tempted to wait on the 07 with such advances as hybrid technology and such on Subaru's horizon. I'd kill for something lighter than the STi, with the same acceleration, and 40 mpg. Subaru has strongly indicated that the next gen impreza will be able to do just that.

Either way im going to have to wait bc i cant afford a WRX and paying for Wyotech(its not cheap)
I'm hoping to be able to find a lightly modded WRX(STi hopefuly) whenever i go out to buy one. Yeah i know its going to be hard, hopefully whoever i buy it from will know what they were doing and i wont have to go back and re-do everything like the last truck i bought.
