downforce

Ideally since the wrx is AWD you would want the same amount of downforce on the front and back of the car to keep the wheels to the ground. As for the maximum amount of downforce from a spoiler it depends on the spoiler. I am sure you could make one that wouldnearly bottom your car out at high speed, but that would be pretty pointless.

downforce if not going to do a whole lot for you while you are in the air. You are only going to be in the air for a fraction of a second. My advice if you are going to jump your car is (1) Don't unless you want a pile of metal (2) get some nice suspension (3) don't worry about while you are in the air, the takeoff is going to be the most important. Anything that happens while you are in the air is going to be the direct result of your take-off, if you track sideways off the jump you will most likely roll your car. Also if you are going to jump get a good helmet and a rollcage.
