I am the owner of a 93' L Subaru Impreza I was thinking about selling it and buying a 99' or so 2.5rs or even a WRX then i saw some pictures on here of 93's that looked awesome so I thought why not keep it and just upgrade this instead of buying a new car then upgrading. so I am curious, how to go about doing the front end conversion, should I go to a dealership, junkyard, buy a wrecked 2.5rs or is there websites that sell the conversion kits. if anyone has any knoledge on this please let me know. thaks in advance for the help

 

The hood is the easy part, it's a direct bolt-on, and you can grab a hood of of an RS or an Impreza Outback Sport. But for the hood to work right, you will also need the headlights and grill, since they are thinner on the RS/OBS, but that stuff is also a direct swap, so still easy. Now, for the RS bumper, you will obviously need to get the bumper itself, either from a wrecking yard, or buy a new one from a dealership. But to mount it, you will need the bumper beam from an RS also, and that takes a little bit of work to get on, I guess. Over all, it's a little expensive, depending on where you get the parts, but it should all be a pretty straight forward proposition, since the basic body shells are identical.
