Exclamation Door Noise need help

I have searched and came up with a couple of possibilities but non of them seemed to get specific enough.

I have an 05 RS and I have a wicked noise in the drivers door when I hit bumps and occassionally when I roll the window up or down. It's kind of a click, but on bad roads can be more of a rattle. I have tightened the felt lined shims at the top of the door, but this seems like a bandaid that only fixes the problem for a short time. All of the spots where the window track attach to the door seem snug, it sounds like the noise is coming from somewhere inside where the glass attaches to the frame.

Is there anything in particular that I can look at. It's difficult to see much in the door cavity, but if there is a specific nut or bolt that has caused people problems in the past, I'd like to start there.

Please help, this noise drives me crazy. I am **** about noises and rattles, but this one in particular sounds like something could fail soon.

Thanks for the help.

Wow this place has died since I was here last. Hopefully someone can still help.

I guess if I'm not asking about adding 100hp no one cares to help.

You could try taking off your door and shake it. If you feel like it is bouncing inside your door, it is a loose object. But you probably already thought of that. Just take off your door card and peel off the plastic hiding your inner door side so that you can rub your hands around the whole door body. It is most likely a rock or some small object. If that is too much of a hassle for you, then bring your car to a auto glass shop and they can do everything for you for a small fee.

Thanks, but the noise also happens when rolling the window up and down. It usually "clicks" after the window lowers about a third of the way. If it was something in the bottom of my door, I don't see how it would do this.
