Do I have to use a harness bar to attach racing harnesses in my car?
Hey yall it's Mike again. I'm getting Sparco Torino racing seats in my car. As far as putting the harnesses in do I have to use a harness bar to do it? Or is there away to connect them and not use the harness bar? Thanks again yall

A search will show you how to attach them to the rear seatbelt mounting bolts. Most have them installed this way.

I believe that you could bolt the harnesses in onto one of the rear seatbelt mounting points by bolting it in with a longer bolt and maybe a spacer...
you only really need the harness bar if you want the harnesses to be a scca legal mounting...
didnt really help but oh well

Depending on the type of Harness you get(SaBelt in my rx7) it should come with swivel bushings that will allow you to attach the rear of the harness to the rear passenger seat belt harness bolts(sheesh...say that 3 tiems fast).
Installation should only require you to remove your rear seat, which if I recall is a 2 second job. Once you get that done, you'll need to attach one eye bolt into the stock front belt harness, and one other piece that you put the stock bolt thru. Pretty easy stuff.
Hardest thing is adjusting the belt just right.

Thanks for the help guys but all these ways you're showing me makes it so I really can't have passangers in the backseat. Is it possible to install racing harnesses without a harness bar and still have passangers in the back seat without the harnesses in there way?
