dam day time running lights

does anyone know how to turn off the dam daytime running lights? i have heard that after a while they will blurr the plastic housing... any info would be nice thanks

there is a clip that you can just undo instead of taking the unit out... dont rmemeber off-hand but i did it... takes 5 min and you leave the unit in

there is also one other way if you want a quick fix you pull the hand brake up so that the brake light just switches on and the brake isnt really active and it will switch off the lights
