Creeping WRX floor mats
My drivers side WRX embroidered floor mat likes to creep around and come off of the plastic clip-pole. It's bad when you're auto-x-ing and suddenly your floor mat is ON TOP OF THE CLUTCH PEDAL. Bad juju. Anyway to nail that sucker down?
It's gotten worse with time and I've only had my car for three months.
Thanks

Never thought of that. I'll try it on Sunday.
I dunno about the construction of the floormats that you are referring to in particular but......oops edit I re-read your post and didnt see that you had the stock mat... sorry bout that cheif
I was reading in another post how a guy fixed his "creeping mat problem. He essentially fixed it with a color matched tie-wrap. His mats were the black rubber ones. He stuck a small hole into the edge of the matt and made the tie-wrap into a small circle. This allowed the tie wrap to be an anchor. The loop or circle of the tie wrap hooked around that little nod that is on the floor of the car, (that same nod is the one that goes through the hole on the stock mat) this kept his mat from creeping and blended into the dark grey of the stock wrx carpet that he had. He stated it worked great. Sounds logical to me!!

or better yet, make a small hole in the floor mat, put a heavy duty
zip tie on it and use a black or whatever color thin belt or rope to
tie it to the seat. i do that on my winter floormat that i place over
the factory floormat. it works great.
only draw back is when you want to clean it, youll have to
vaccuum it inside the car...but thats not too bad.
that clip idea looks good.
