i'm assuming you snapped one of your bolts?

you can try heating up the shaft and using vice grips, or if that doesn't work you can drill the bolt out.

hopefully someone else can chime in about the possibility of subaru getting the bolt out for you, though i'm pretty sure it would cost you in one way or another.

check this site out http://www.secondchancegarage.com/public/671.cfm for some extra help. good luck!

just use an easy out( EZ out) or left hand drill bit to get the bolt out.

To OP:
Crazy glue a screwdriver to the head of it, wait til it's dry, then try to twist it out.

I have a 2000 and it happened to me as well (after installing new suspension). One of the screw holes just strips screws and the other has half a bolt stuck from where it twisted off (it's flush with the metal from inside the car that I can see).

I tried a screw extractor and I couldn't get the drill part to drill into the bolt. It ended up stripping the bit so I returned it and said the kit didn't work

My next attempt will probably involve a lot of heat on the bolt first and then another extractor kit.

If you figure something out let me know

wow you must of cross threaded the bolt back in.... so trying to remove it with vise grips or any other small tool will not work only destroy the remaining part of the bolt above the floor pan...

heres what you do..... you will need a drill a decent size bit and a extractor bit... drill the hole first then thread the extrator into the drilled hole and then back it out.. the extractor should do its job and back the bolt out..... if its cross threaded really bad.. then you will have to carefully drill the bolt out without ruining the threads on the frame
