OK. So, I am a dealer for Subarus. But, I have a wagon I have wanted to have black carpet mats forever... But, for us Subaru customers... we get grey mats. It sucks.
We just got a trade with a Saab 92x (?), at any rate a WRX~Saabaru wagon... Guess what? They have black carpet mats (and not in the fuzzy Subaru Impreza style, but a very classy 'loop' weave). +1!
So, guess what I am rockin' in my wagon now? Find a Saab dealer and place your order and say G'Bye to grey mats! Hello Black!

No idea of cost $$. I swapped them, since the 92x has a gray and black two tone interior, the Impreza's actaully worked better in the Saab!
Funny, most 92x owners think that the mats that came in the car are thin, cheap, and wear out fairly quickly. Unless the mats that you bought were an upgraded set.

No doubt they are thinner... but the cut is more generous and I simply hate the fuzzy look of our OEMs. If I have to buy another set I will. But this came out of an '05 with 36,000 miles and cleaned up again like new! Plus I live in Oregon where the carpet mats are in from May till.. well, about now. Then it's back to the OEM 'all weathers'.
