my mirror appears to have a cloud shape(not encompassing the entire mirror) with the shaded part when it is dark.....its supposed to be completely darker when it is dark.......instead its dark in a cloud shape (not covering the entire outer edges of the mirror) Im not sure why this is.........WTF am i doing wrong and how can i fix this? anyone else having the same problems?

You can't do anything. The mirror is shot and needs to be replaced. A warranty item if you're under the 3/36 and it came with the car, otherwise you're on your own.
If it's out of warranty check the Private Classifieds here and at NASIOC as they are occasionally posted for sale.

 

I don't have that problem, my whole mirror gets dark. What year do you have? If it's new enough, bring it back to where you got it and tell them the problem...could get you a replacement. Otherwise, I think your choices are to live with it or buy a new one from the dealer. Sorry I can't help more but it sounds like your mirror is just broken.

 

Mine just took a dump this weekend. Now only about a quarter of an inch of the bottom gets dark. It looks like the tinting liquid chemical has leaked out. Of well. My rear windows are tinted anyway.
