Anybody have a trailer hitch on their WRX?
I was thinkign about puttign a trailer hitch in my 2002 WRX. Reason for this would be because I would liek to pull a jet ski and I have no other means to do this except to get a hitch on my car. I might be able to use a parents car (Forester and get a hitch on that) but if not it will have to go on the WRX
Has anybody else put a hitch on their WRX? If so where did you get it and who did you have put it on? What do you think about it? Does it work? Can the car deal with it? Tell me everyhting.

Numbers right out of the manufacturer's Impreza brochure:
tongue weight: 200 lbs.
Towing capacity: 2,000 lbs.
Whether or not it is turbocharged has no effect on its proper towing capacity.
Numbers are technically for the 2004/2005 Impreza, but I am sure you won't have any issues with a 2002. I know a guy that had a 2002 OBS (Out Back Sport) Impreza, and he towed a small fishing boat a few times. He never had any issues. A lone jet ski should be close to the weight of that boat.

I had one on my STi, but when I put the JIC exhaust on the car it hit, so I pulled the hitch off. I was going to use it to tow a jet ski. A friend has an 02 sedan and pulled his atv with it. My hitch/electrical wires are for sale.

200lb tounge weight, 2000lbs towing capacity. $150 shipped, if it is more, I will cover the costs. Here is the link to subaru's web site. Click on accessories when you get there and scroll down to trailer hitch. http://www.subaru.com/servlet/showro...mmand=overview

I see it now. Is the ball included with the deal?
I have to make a decision on if I am goign to purchase the jet ski or not. THen I will let you know about the hitch. Should happen soon.
Only problem I might have is the fact that I say an aftermarket hitch for like 70 somehting dollars and with the ball and the mount it was like 100 dollars. So wit hshipping this could be less or equal to the one you are selling and it would be brand new.
