From 99 to 03/04 Hoodscoop Swap
I've been craving to take out the scoop on my WR Blue 99 2.5 RS and switch it with the higher new REX scoops (I fear an STI one may be too obtrusive). Does anyone out there know if size-wise it would be a perfect fit in the hood?
I wasn't sure. If anyone has done this, or has information, please let me know.

I've got an STi sized one that I'm going to put on my CF bonnet. Just need to paint it.
It's not that much bigger but I think it'll direct more air in.

I agree the STI scoop will bring more air in and is only a bit higher. My concern is more with the actual width and length of the scoop and whether it would fit into the hood space. Was it easy to fit into your 98?

The STI sized scoop opening is the same as the OEM one. It's just a bit taller and doesn't have the slats in it.
I still haven't put it on my car since my car isn't running right now. I'll take some pics when she's back up and running.
