Swap then Swap back?
Just doing some thinking and wanted opinions...
How difficult would it be to swap to an ej20 then swap back to the ej25 later down the road for whatever reason?
I'm sure the entire problem could be partially aleviated by running aftermarket engine management... But still wondering about opinions and facts on the little difficulties of putting the ej25 back in after you've blown the ej20 or built the ej25

wiring alone.
If you think you can do it, you're looking at over a week a swap.
YUCK.
Now if you're running a TECH system, then it's pretty easy to go from one engine to the other. You can leave the wrx cross member in there with the 2.5 with slight exhaust modifications.

the wiring is a freaking nightmare. I really would stay with a ej20 and get a 2.5sti short block on it.
it's the best of both worlds.
Granted it would save you some time during the second half, as you would know what wires you had cut spliced and added. But seriously it would be very unpleasent to do a reverse swap.
