98 Outback Sport - Trunk Light?
Hi guys,
Has anyone put a light under the rear hatch on a '98 Outback Sport (or Impreza Wagon) ?
I see kits and instructions for the trunk in a sedan or coupe, but nothing on the wagon.
I'd like to use stock wiring if it is in place, but I'm open to a custom solution if anyone has something that works well.

The light is available, but first check if there is wiring for it in the car. Move the carpet and look with a flashlight into the gap between the plastic trim panel and the floor on the right side. The panel edge can be pried up a little bit. The connector for the light would be a T-shaped two-pole, with wires coming out from the main rear harness that runs behind the trim. The plug would be taped to the harness.
