how much would it cost to change a 98 impreza rs bumber, the one with out fogs, into the newer version of that same bumber with the fog lights?
and also... whats the difference between a stock canadian bumer and a us spec bumber... someone told me there is a diff... but i dont no what it is.... or is the fog light difference.
thx, sry for the noob question

What's up? I own a 98 RS, and i put a 2001 RS front bumper on. It's a direct bolt-on, everything goes in the same spot. Looks a lot better, and the tiny fog lights on the 98 weren't too impressive. I didn't get the stock hardware for the foglights, so if (or when) my bulb goes out i pretty much have to take off the whole bumper to do it . Just make sure that you locate the vents, the foglights, and the turn signals because they are all different from the 98 model year. Hope it helps.

you'll either need to get the correct bumper beam for the bumper, modify yours, or get the JDM lightweight bumper beam. Pretty easy swap though. I did it to my OBS wagon, turned it into a GF8 Version V replica wagon

k2snow, do you have pics of that conversion? I also have a GF8 OBS, and, like everyone stuck with my style bumper, I'm looking to do the RS swap. Id like to see how that bumper looks on a wagon... makes me wonder what color your car is and if you left it two-tone....
And if you happened to modify your stock beam rather than buy a new one, was that very difficult and what needs to be cut out?
Thanks, Andy
