3rd Brake light removal ???
I searched and have read threads dating back to '03, so if I missed it please dont flame...
I am looking for a piece to fill the void where the third brake light was. (also what to do with the wires)
there was a link in a post from 04, but the link is broken.
Any help is appreciated

I think I have the plate you're looking for laying around, but I did something different.
I went to Kragen and got auto carpeting (they sell it in rolls) and spray adhesive). Then I took the shelf out of the car and removed all of the plastic parts. I sprayed the top of the shelf with the adhesive and laid the new carpeting over it starting at one side and used an iron on a kind of low heat to stretch the carpeting into that lowered section of the shelf. Once the glue dried I cut out the holes from the under side. The vents were kind of hard to put back into place, but they are staying in just fine now (you could spray some adhesive on them too it you want). This was also a good opportunity to get rid of those child safety hooks if you aren't planning on using them.
Wiring wont be a problem. If you craw inside of your trunk you'll see where the harness plugs into, just unplug it and you're set

I found a replacement decklid off a wrecked STI, thanks for the advice.
Got the brake light out, rediculously simple.
Thanks all...
