This looks pretty sweet in my opinion and was well worth the $25 for the "kit" and the 15 minutes it took to install.

--15 mins of your time
--small (short) phillips head screw-driver
--10mm socket

3rd Brake Light Cover Mod Kit (from cc-b.com)


disconnect blue/white connector & remove bolts (10mm)


brake lights before

 

3rd brake light assembly lifts out easily


screw clips slide back easily and fit snug




line up the brake light cover and screw it down

I have a REX and also have the stock spoiler... but when I look in the back of the car I do not have the third brake light...? Why is that?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining at all because that's one less thing I have to take out.

Is the back deck carpeted (where the brake light would be I mean)? What year WRX?

Cool that it all carpeted (no holes or crap to have to fix). Odd that there's no 3rd brake light. Be interesting to swing by the dealer you go tit at and check out the other WRX's on the lot. If they have the 3rd brake light, I'd ask the dealer to hook you up with one. You might not need/want it, but you could always resell it and pocket the loot. :-)

 

i need one of those kits. i just took my 3rd bl out two nites ago. it was getting on my nerves seeing it not doing anything.

do you happen to have a sonic yellow wrx? if so, they only come with a spoiler and came factory without the spoiler.
