nope, nothing happens to the lens.

Things to look out for are....

1: dont leave fingerprints, youll kick yourself for haveing to take it apart to wipe them off later
2: be carefull with the sticky stuff, have somebody help you to cut the glue as you pull the lights apart, if not it will snap back and go all over the lights

Another tip, buy a tube of black sealant to fill in the spots that might need it. Nothing worse than having a slight hole which water can get into. Condensation in headlights are ghetto!
