04 wrx headlight conversion???

I used that to bake mine, its a good link. That clip that hold the light in is a biotch at first to get off. Also, I was thinking about adding angel eyes from this sweet site that has a universal kit, so if your thinking of doing that also, wait because you will have to reheat and do it all over again.

A very long thin flathead screwdriver will help a bunch with the clips on the bottom. Make sure you get all the screws, one is hidden behind some foam....

i thought about blacking them out, but i kinda like how they look right now, but if you do it post up some pics so i can see what it looks like.

blacking them out is very easy. When you've got them open, you'll notice that there are three pieces to the headlight, the clear cover, the main assembly, and a chrome piece that goes in between the main assembly and the clear cover. That chrome piece is what has the orange reflectors on it. Anyway, after popping the orange reflectors out, simply use some black paint to paint it. I recommend a 500 degree engine enamel made by Dupli-Color, which only costs around $5 for a can at autozone. Spray a thin coat, and then let it dry for about a half an hour or so. Then inspect it (without touching it) for missed spots. Spray another thin coat, making sure that you get the missed spots. Just repeat as necessary until you get it looking the way you like. I blacked mine out with bbq grill paint, it may or may not be cheaper than an auto paint. Good up to 1200 degrees but of course that's overkill.

I recommend a flat black.

does the plastic lens on the car become blurry after you bake them , you know the look that a car gets when they sit outside too long and the headlight lens become yellow and blurry.
