ok... help
so this is the deal, ive found some really really nice seats i wanna get off a member on here... now my issue is ive got and 06 with passenger side SRS air bags that turn on an off when someone is in the seat, now the seat ill be replacing with will be out of a 02 that does not have this.... im kinda thinking that my SRS is gonna go nuts ... havnt tryed it yet.... lemme know

Don't get into an accident with a passenger in your car?













I'm guessing worst case scenario your going to have to fool the SRS system into thinking there is someone in the seat (rewiring the wires that came from the switch within the seat) however, fooling with SRS wires isn't usually advised.

Hehe, we had to do the same thing with another buddies 07 when he got some 02s. And what happened with the 04's?

You should be able to bypass the pressure-sensitive switch wiring so the passenger airbag will always be on. However you should bear in mind that in the event of a an accident where both bags deploy and there is no front seat passenger, your insurance company might refuse to pay for the passenger airbag since it would not have gone off had you not modded the car.

 

CORRECT!!... SO WHAT Do i have to do ??? ground it out??? i need to know the wiring diagram for that sensor and hows its actuated by power or ground.... then ground it or apply ign power to it
