Sorry, the shops were in person or random comments here and there.

Nice try on trying to dumb be as a forum bandwagon naysayer though.
OK.. so who were they?

Don't misunderstand my intentions here. I'm not attacking you. You state you received information from a source. I just want to know who it is.

If you have a source, great. No harm no foul. If not, well.. I got nothing for you.

Yeah, that sounds like someone who got screwed by the company and while that is definitely not good, he is talking about one product, not every gauge they make. You still have no first hand info, so nice try justifying your comments. I am not attacking you either, just saying that you are basing a recommendation entirely on hearsay.

Had you just come right out and posted that link it probably would have been a LOT more useful, as I will now reconsider buying any more of their products going forward because of the issues the company may have, however that has nothing to do with their products.

The Halos would have been perfect if they had green instead of blue as the third color. I leave them on white during the day and red at night because even on the dimmest, the white is pretty bright at night.

AWDTuning and Cobb. Even in the link there was a shop saying they refused to sell the brand. There were actually 1 or 2 other shops talking in that thread about how bad their gauges were but those look to have been deleted when the thread got cleaned up (it was previously twice that long)

I will clarify that all of the gauge and sender failures I know of are from their Premium series. It generally just seems to be a waiting game before they fail. My 12 year old mechanical Blitz gauge still reads exactly what OBDII readings do.

Their base model gauges are Glowshift gauges (same make, just rebranded) at twice the mark up. The Halos are newer, and Prosport's 'reputation' is from before their release.

Just to ask, did you read the whole thread or just the 1st post?

I've been reading the whole thread! Very interesting to hear you guys go back and forth about their products. I'm still debating

So I'm assuming some of you have these gauges and they are good and the other guys either had bad experiences or just listening to other people. Other than that its still been informative

I have had my Prosport boost gauge for almost 5 years now and have had no issues. It's a little bit off (about 1psi or so) but its close enough that it doesn't really matter to me.

Ever consider used? I bought both my defi's and the control unit second hand and they work perfectly fine. I'd say save up for the good stuff and if you come across a quality used set swoop on it. Imho a used defi > prosport anyday.

Im on the same boat as you, and personally, after reading the story on Nasioc, there is no way ill buy a prosport. While you could get 3 prosport gauge for the price of 1 Defi, it may be money well spent, without the headaches of the prosport too.
