exhaust rattle on startup

I have a 2013 wrx sedan and upon startup there is a rattling sound on the left side of my stock exhaust. I checked the hangers and I also held onto the exhaust to see if it was the exhaust tip, but still no luck. Anyone else have the same problem?

Have you taken off your stock cb from the hangers before?

Nope... I think I need to thoroughly check it out again when I have time. Something is definitely loose down there.

I wouldn't worry too much about if it's just during startup. Does it still rattle when you're driving?

Check the Heat Sheilds - Make sure they are tight. Some are screwed to the underside of the car.

I didn't even think of that. I'll check it for sure. Seems like the root of the cause.

I ran into same issue. Have a invidia q300, wasn't able to see marks on heat shield but saw a clean spot on the exhaust, by resonator. If you got a ss exhaust seeing a clean spot on ss is alot easier then seing it on the aluminum heat shield. I loosened all bolts from turbo back and realigned everything. No sound on start up anymore.
