Aftermarket or DIY Engine Tray, Skid Plate, Under Tray, Under Panel

I wanted to start a thread here because i'm in the market for an under tray or skid plate, or the different names that replace the plastic engine tray.

If you run headers it's a must to change the plastic tray, because it will start to melt unless you protect it with heat shielding. I also like the extra protection factor that an aluminum plate will offer.

I really like the design of the GTSpec GTS-PER-1352 because it has nice louvers, access panels, and side panels. Price wise it's the most expensive, and finding it in-stock is another story, and I checked around and was told 2 months.

DRT Performance makes a try with the plastic side panels that you can clip on. No louvers so i'm not certain this is good for air circulation.

Primative Racing is nice, small louvers, has 2 different thickness options, also stinger tail options, but it does not have the side panels.

The Beatrush panel is very nice, and it has large louvers and I think it has the option to add the side panels.

But i'm thinking you can add the side panels to any tray, just make them out of plastic just like the DRT ones?

Other panels that are available? Please post here.
Thoughts?

I'm not too busy. I just said for it to be worthwhile for me (since I'm not gonna jack up the price) I need you to measure the mounting holes or give me your stock plastic shield...

Those are all pretty easy to build...

Yours would be different bolt pattern so I would need to start over for the gd, but material is about $75 alone...

Could just copy Auto Erik's under tray, except drill the holes better. Lol.

Yah, the current holes are poop to say the least. And we would need to figure out the hard wear too.

Bump, any interest in possible Group Buy for some DIY ones to fit 08+ STi/WRX and 05-09 Legacy GT?

Would these be kosher with an aftermarket subframe, like Oswald or GT Spec?

Good question, it's possible they can fit as long as the dimensions for clearance are known.
