Turn your key to the accesory (right before the ignition) then buckle and unbuckle your seatbelt 20 times in 30 second (without sitting in the seat is easiest). May take more then one try. Sounds odd but i did it and it worked.

1. remove the 2-pin plug to the voltage dropping resistor. This is mounted on the passenger side front strut tower area. It looks like a small silver and white metallic box ~4"Lx2"Wx 1"D.
I didn't do this option because I don't like to have live wires hanging loose in the engine compartment.
2. Locate the DRL module behind the passenger kick panel (area to the right of the glovebox). The DRL module is a black box about the size of a pack of cigarettes. Pull the 10-pin connector. Note: The fuel pump relay is in this area too, so make sure you are pulling the correct connector.

The scoobymods page shows some pictures, but the location of the DRL is slightly different than shown in the picture.
took me about 45 seconds

It's not automatic. You have to do it manually using the switch sigma mentioned, but you can only do it twice a year. There was a recall on all Subarus with these lights due to the recent daylight savings lights date changes by the US Govt.

how to remove the beep noise from seatbelt
turn your key to ON, (the step before you turn on your engine)
buckle up your seatbelt on and off for 20 times with in 30 seconds, your beep sound will be gone the next time your turn on your car. it will beep only once when you start the car, and will never come back up.
to remove this setting, just disconnect your battery

to make the stock bov a teeny weeny bit louder u have to take off the intake snorkel and silencer. Its inside of the fender. The "ram air" thing goes into it
ok.... there are 2 different ways to do this, and also 06 and 07 DRL Disable mods are DIFFERENT!!!!! (Read again: DIFFERENT!)
06 = DRL modual behind glove box
07 = NO DRL modual behind glove box (but a different relay that controls DRL/Headlights, simple one wire removal to disable DRL's!)
Edit: your a moron if you unplug the silver box under the hood (read: drop voltage resistor). if you take your subie in to the dealer and they see it, bye bye warrenty! with the 'behind glove box' mod, they have to tear into your dash in order to see it!
