changing radiator hose

changing radiator hose

so i look under my hood today and i see something leaking right next to the radiator hose next to the block so i need to replace it. whats the best way to change it without draining all the coolant.

probably be best to change out the coolant. Im not sure you can change the hose without having coolant leak all over the place. Assuming it's your radiator hose id change the upper and lower at the same time. samco has some great hoses.

oh and make sure when you install the hoses that they are not anywhere near the pulleys on the motor. happened to me and ripped a whole into the hose causing a leak .... pretty unfortunate situation.....

yea you do that so that there is no air bubbles trapped. i forgot where i read it but there is a good tutorial on scoobymods or nasioc about it.
