Trying to replace the low beams in the car. I CANNOT for the life of me get the little retaining clip on the plug to release. tried hands, tried screw driver, tried begging, pleading, cursing you name it. whats the trick?

IS there a little screw on the back of the clip???

 

not that i could see. its a little tab on the top that slides in, or presses down, or lifts i think. i cant figure it out.
