WTT/MWTF: Short ram or OEM intake components

^ oops force of wtf habbits *MWTB

So with this agressive wheels and tires comes new problems. Its beating the crap outta and tearing up my fender lining. Poses potential water issues with my CAI soooo

WTT my 02-07 AEM Cai for a short ram.
Piping is blue is cosmetic flaws here and there. Noticed the filter cone has a dent in it. God knows how that got there.

If anything I am also down or buying trading for OEM intake silencer and the ram air scoop thing with any included hardware for mounting. Dont really want these but if anything it works.

Searched the forums but all intake threads are old or sold.

Unless you decide to go offroading or intentionally driving through massive amounts of water, the whole intake sucking up water thing shouldn't be a big deal

Sometimes when it gets super rainy 1. My tires throw water on the filter and if i hit boost it studders and if it gets really bad the road to my work on kbay is 100% under 1-2ft of water so this would be more of a precaution.

The combinatioin of offroading and massive waters is in my past

you could always just cut the CAI and make it a shorty.

What about a shield for the filter?

Considered making something to do that. Like a bolt in sheet metal shield that sits further from tire but acts like a fender liner. I have a good lead on a Cobb one and a driver foglight for 100+ship. So hopefully that pans out. I was actually planning on taking the bumper off to look more into making something

Either that or give a hydro shield and a Injen "heat" shield to act as a wheel splash guard.
