OBDII reader. The 01 Forester threw a CEL. My cheapo OBDII scanner tries to read it and says 'error'. I think it's just my reader sucks, although it worked on the WRX all the time. Checker says it costs $70+ just to read out the code now as a diagnostic fee. Anyway, I'm in the Aiea area, WTBorrow for a few minutes to check and clear the code. TIA.

John borrow a tactrix cable and down load learning view. you can pull/read codes and reset your ecu with that program.

 

I know I could do this on the WRX but the forester as well? Doesn't it have a way different type of ECU / definitions? <- I'm not sure about this.

yea probably. I figured loose gas cap. Do these have two O2 sensors like the WRXs? PS, I love this Forester.

No worries, thanks for trying. I got ahold of Chad and the code was like a P0133 (ish) which was low input on the front O2 sensor. No idea why his works, but ours didn't.
