hp isn't as dangerous as tq. just don't dump your clutch and learn how to slip 1st gear. you aren't likely to make 350 with an 18g unless you build the block and run meth or can get e85.

Torque is what breaks transmissions. Normally I'd agree with your point, but if you're making a similar amount of torque as you are hp it's getting to the point where driving skill matters less. Most people would have stripped 3rd gear by now.
