Would you get an EVO VIII........
Well I've been thinking a lot about what my next car is going to be.. The RX8 is tempting and so is the G35 coupe. Both are within budget but both are two different markets.
Looking at the EVO and the WRX they directly compete with each other. So what you have the latest and greatest AWD turbo car on the market here for now.... Then what next year you get owned by something else. It's a never ending battle.
Dan your lucky as you dont own a WRX anymore, but buying an EVO would only really be a lateral move dont you think? Perhaps thats just my opinion...

That would all most pay for my PROJECT 240sx.

To tell you guys the truth, I just want a car I can drive the 3 miles to work every day in and then beat the crap out of it at the track.
That's why I'm going to go with an S-13.
1) It will be better to drag race in (My 1st love)
2) I can SCCA in it
3) I can take it to an open track day and really have some fun.
I can't Wait to ROLL UP On one !!!
Guys, I can't WAIT TO ROLL UP ON on an EVO! Even better, I can't wait for one of these guys to come out to SCCA!!!
P.S. Just drove Bob's AVO sponsored WRX from the cover of Turbo MAGAZINE, DAMN, that car is FUN!!!!!
WRX 151 SM!

I don't feel as if I've personally learned the full potential of the WRX. I feel some loyalty (at least right now) because it has been the platform responsible for teaching me what I now know...minimal, I know, but I'm way beyond where I was prior to purchasing the WRX.
I'm intrigued by the EVO VIII, but moreso by the USDM STI.
If I had the time and the money, I'd wait awhile for prices to come back down and either have a Supra shipped here, or buy one on the mainland when I rotate back there.
I might even look at the potential for shipping a Skyline a little later on in life.
Of course, I don't jackshat about either of those cars.

Yes... for the potential profit.
1. Buy car and get it shipped.
2. Put LARGE ad in Want ads offering it for $3-4k below what the local dealers are offering.
3. Make cash, try it again.
Question: When you sell your own car, do you have to charge sales tax? Or is this a nice loophole for avoiding giving money to a corrupt state government?

I have given up on the Supra. Wanted one forever, but could never find one for sale, no one wants to sell em anymore and when they do they are expensive as hell. I keep looking on island, but nada.

Too bad you could have bought my friends supra for $37k... Very very nice with new paint(custom color), Jun hood, plus lots more, and 400HP/400ft/tq on hand. Also had a brand new set of drag radials on 17" wheels ready to go... Oh well it to a mainland buyer.
I still need to flog that thing around before it gets shipped off
Anyone wanna race
