I will drink a shot of dirty gear oil to the gods in hope that your swap was less of a pain in the butt than mine has been so far.

I was joking about calling my car Little Satan. Guess I'm going to have to now.
I've seen Satan, and he's way faster. I've got to race against him at SCCA also!

i have a 03 wrx manual ecu....but i cant remember if it was manual ecu that can work in a AT or if it was the other way around. not to mention will the 03 work in the 02. if you got some part numbers on the harness and ecu let me know so i can start sourcing now while i am here. or i can just pick up yours if your not going to use them and pay the difference.

yup still have auto ecu and auto harness
there is a significant difference in auto and manual. you cannot use the manual ecu on your auto wrx but you can use the auto ecu on a manual car since the auto ecu looks for more sensors. the difference between auto and manual harness is the deletion of a signal wire that is off the main harness.

I have been thinking today and I think I am going to leave the the car as an automatic. I think it will add more to the sleeper effect and besides my wife needs to be able to drive it also. so guessing by the smiley face your willing to part with your automatic ecu and harness. well if you are lets tack that on too. i shouldn't have a problem with using the 02 auto ecu with a 01 tranny right?

the auto tranny hasn't changed much but i'm not sure of the connectors. that you'll have to research on your own.
