i've paid for a lot of crap!!!!!
costco gas= aloha petroleum - i dunno all raw gas is the same, its the type of additive that each company puts in that can really suck for your car.

1.99 versus 2.20 average= $3.34 savings, filling up once a week will cost you $1818.96 (for $2.20) and $1645.28 (for1.99) thats a $173.68 savings. - - - my conscience is okay for now.

BTW i justify this by saying that it's one meal free everytime i fill up.

when something breaks(hopefully not!) i'll let u guys know. and maybe file suit against costco for selling crap gas.

shows the s03 going for 207.99 but that is mounted and all that jazz. if costco has the warranty dealio andyou are not gonna abuse your tires(i guess no warranty for you ) than they might be a better deal than tire rack. not sure on the delay or shipping time though. b

Cosco gas is ****ty. period. How many times are we going to talk about this in here??? Just as the gas we get on base/post. (which is Cheap as Hell too).
If you drive like granny anyway, you're probably not going to get any det with even ****ty gas, ... so buy what you like.
STi's det easy as hell as it is, no need to throw ****ty gas in the mix. And a "stage 4" rex is going to have the same problems. If you want to know what your combustion chamber looks like with ****ty gas, maybe I can get a pic of Pat's old block.

Dan, you're rich, stop being a puss and buy from tirerack, .. you're Rarely going to beat the price (even With shipping), and plus they almost always have them in stock.

oh yeah, return policy is excellent with costco, i don't know about the tireshops return policy, i'll ask later, but for other goods from costco, you can return like whenevers, even if it was your fault, for instance like you walk outside of the store and drop your milk and it explodes, they got the dufus return policy, so your all good with costco! oh yeah if you just want to buy gas, i can hook you up with a card dan

my supercharged tacoma ran fine with chevron in it. Couple months after switching to costco, pinged like mad and clogged injectors. Mechanic asked what gas I used and shrugged his shoulders. "You pay for what you get"

Other than that, get the membership. Way cheaper than the supermarkets here. Hot dogs are good too.

So is there something inherently wrong with Aloha gas too since it's the same thing? Let me know so I can stop using it.

The reason that cosco gas sucks is because here on the Big island Aloha trucks deliver gas every couple of days or so. A large volume of people get their gas there so every so often you'll see a truck there. That means that the debris at the bottom is always being stirred up and has no time to settle. This is probably the reason for them having dirty gas. One of the drivers told me this and it kinda makes sense.
