Will I have any problems???
I recently just moved to Oahu for college and I was wondering if I would have any theft/vandalism problems. I want to buy a subie and ship it here but I live on campus and do not have a parking permit. The car would mostly be parked on dole street and occasionaly around the residential homes. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jordan

screw the dole st parking
if you are down for walking, the area near jcch isn't bad, but don't park in my spot!
i couldn't get a permit this semester so i park off campus, if i see another suby in my spot when there aren't any openings all hell will break loose! i will go straight home and cry like a baby.
good luck man

1. Go up University Ave.
2. Turn left on Maile Way.
3. Turn Right on Oahu Rd.
4. Park anywhere as long as it doesn't specify "no parking"
If you go in the evening or early morning, there will be tons of free parking in the residential area. Park by the mansion or the church. It's a quiet neighborhood and the residents are mainly senior citizens. If you park in a legal area, you can just leave your car there all week and nobody will bother it. I used to park there when I dormed.

Oh, and if you look around on the bulletin boards on campus, some nearby residents offer students their driveways for rent. You can rent a spot in their driveway for a monthly fee.
Parking passes are near impossible to get unless you're a senior or know people in the parking office.

Damn...they gotta build a parking structure or something over there ASAP! I always feel bad for those people that live in Manoa and have cars in front of their house all the time. I graduated from Mid-Pac and know what it's like.
You guys can't park in the Stan Sherrif Center Parking Structure?
