Will Costco mount your own rim/tires?

I posted in other forums and they said that Costco would be able to mount your own tires (like from Tire Rack) and aftermarket rims for a fee,....But these were like peeps in the mainland though that had Costco do it,..

Did anyone have their own stuff mounted at Costco here? Or do you gotta know "someone" to hook me up???

I called yesterday at the Nimitz side one and asked if they would mount my own tires and rims and the guy was like "Umm,..ahh,..are they Costco tires??,..Well, no we dont,.."

Now, that didnt sound too confident an answer,..

I know Eurosport would, but they asking $100,..I think Costco (from mainland peeps posted) was going to charge like $40 for all 4,...

Any help appreciated,..

Dunno. You could try and call the other ones and see. You might also try Rad's in Waipahu.

Not anymore. Well, here on the mainland at least, they stopped mounting non-Costco tires about a year ago. Bastards!

Pretty sure...

they only mount "costco" bought tires...I tried doing this very same thing in the Anchorage Costco's (2) and they both told me the same thing...

"Due to liability reason's, we only mount tires bought here at Costco"...and they were also quick to say that they would only mount stock spec tires...meaning if your car came with 225x45x17 tires...that is all that they would mount...I've heard different here in Hawaii though...about the size issue...

Eurosport is prbably the best place to go for $100,.but would need steel/metal valves too as my rims didnt come with em,..

Who else close to the Leeward (Stadium side)?? Rad in Waipahu cheap? Will guarantee w/out scratching rims? How bout that place next to Papa Johns at old costco call Tire direct or something? Anyone got there??

Costco only mounts stock sizes on your rims, i think. i like island brake and alignment for all my related needs. if you never heard of them, they're in harbor center by goodwill and across cutter. look em up in the phone book, and make an appointment to assure time for a quality job.

I wouldn't go to that Tire Direct place by the old Costco. They don't know ****. When I went there they were just sitting around smoking, one looked high, ahd all red, bloodshot eyes. How's Ron's? They do a lot of aftermarket tires/rims. I was thinking of going there when my Rota's come in.

Funny thing,..because I live like 5 minutes away from Tire Direct and had to go to Pet Central for my 2 little doggies,..I stopped by since I had to make an appt at Eurosport tomorrow and would be a little busy,..Tire Direct is close by,..

Yeah, they were sitting around only cause that place is dead and they stock Rota rims and Yoko tires,..Since they were so slow I had my tires mounted and balanced there,..BUT,..one of my new rims was bent or dented along the lip,..looks like FedEx didnt take good care of my rim, or just bad luck,..But got it done for $25 each wheel,..so,..

Gotta order a new rim or exchange it,..Better yet,..

Anyone know locally who will straighten or fix a bent aluminum cast rim? I could use this as my "full spare",..just an idea...
